Thibault Dille « DAQUI » is a project that holds out the hope of interculturality, drawing on its resolutely Belgian roots to compose a musical mix that reflects the cosmopolitan city of Brussels. Daqui means « from here » in Portuguese, which is a good way to anchor the music made and performed « here » in Belgium, nourished by influences and sounds « from elsewhere ».

This exciting project is embodied by a trio of virtuosos: Thibault Dille (accordion, melowtone), Pierre Gillet (7-string guitar) and Marcos Della Rocha (percussion). The three talented friends share an affinity for the rhythms of Brazilian and South American music. Their creativity is expressed through daring improvisations, transforming each performance into a unique experience. The harmonious blend of subtle percussion, intoxicating guitar melodies and enchanting accordion creates a captivating soundscape that takes the audience on an unforgettable musical journey.

A guitarist, an accordionist and a singer. Technically. Because they play all sorts of instruments. They met as young adults in Brussels, renowned multicultural city filled with a profusion of different characters trying to embrace the “belgitude“ of it all: the various languages, the latent conflict of identities, the cosmopolitan atmosphere that encompasses all things known and foreign at the same time, intersecting in the city.

Having been on the road together, through thick and thin, they know the value of what they have found: a common voice, sound and passion.

Tribute to the Beatles

François Delporte

François Delporte and Thibault Dille met at jazz workshops in which they were both involved as teachers, and quickly discovered deep musical and human affinities.

Initiated by Thibault at the beginning of 2022, the rather original duo (two harmonic instruments, two musical universes and cultures that are, on the face of it, very different) decided to offer their vision of the great hits of the Beatles, whose songs have marked the history of Anglo-Saxon music and music in general.

Without exclusivity or prior rules, the two musicians revisit the great standards of the Fabulous Four, letting themselves be guided above all by the melody and the universal meaning it still carries today.
